Here is a photo of the Table Mountain Fire, taken by someone from the Forest Service.

The smoke clouds are so intense that they are creating it's own lightning!

OH MY GOODNESS! I may just have to push turkeys on my hubby! They are so funny!
That looks like the apocalypse in action!!! I was outside a lot on Fri and partly on Sat. By Sat night I started getting a tickly chest and then lost my voice. It was REALLY bad yesterday and I struggle even today to make my voice project. The cough has started to worsen. It has to be the nasty air! Thankfully, the tiny bit a rain we got yesterday settled the smoke a bit. It sucks that I have an appt with my GI Dr. today, though, as it will be hard to tell him about the issues I've been having from start to finish in my digestive system!!!

OMG!! I LOVE those!!! She MADE them? I wonder if she can do Golden Laced? She's buying my last pair of GLC's and I know I'll cry once they go...it's a just a matter of meeting up with her at some point...these past few weeks have been insane! I'm ready for it to slow down!!!

This is my two youngest Silkies who are currently enjoying some time outside now. DH and I bring them in every evening. Sometimes the Seramas are out there, sometimes it's my new Silkie girl I picked up from Catdance a couple of weeks ago. They take turns. Some have gotten so used to the routine now that when I open the little door, they stand and wait for me to pick them up and bring them in. We all get a little cuddle time then...

Yeah...it's bad. The air down there was almost chewable.

Everyone is out of their homes and to safer spots for now. One set of DH's aunt/uncle could be going back as early as tomorrow. We moved some across town and others went down to Moses Lake area where they have RV sites already....so they're just RV'ing it for a while.

Well, Audrey just woke up from her nap...and she's working on tooth #6...so she's back to the raw booty and being cranky/fussy with no appetite.

Oh real quick--if anyone responded to my post about a Washingtonian poultry swap (this fall) I didn't find it...so just PM me or email me off BYC...I also created a thread for it under the swaps/meet-ups section here on BYC...just to see if there's interest. I need to sell about 20 birds before heading into winter (breeder-pet-quality) and a few SQ birds.

And I'm working on my signs again...got a few painted up and sold already....starting on batch #2 for sale....I'm hoping I'll have more time this winter but I'm not going to hold my breath on that!

Buttercups - yep - there are plenty around and avoided.

I don't know that it'd be plants...it really seems to me they know what is not good for them? Point being - if I were in your position - I wouldn't go ripping them all out

I decided I could be afraid of anything and everything in the yard or I could relax and let them out. They are soooo happy right now! Been out there all afternoon with the flock and I can't figure out what happened still. I think it'll forever be a mystery. My kids sprayed themselves with the hose and then sat in the filthy dirt/gravel driveway and threw dirt and gravel all over themselves. They were so filthy I made them get naked in the backyard, sprayed them down with the hose and THEN sent them for a bath. Needless to say they weren't too thrilled with me; there was NO way I'd let them in the house in the condition they were though!

So I've gotta get dinner going for 3 kids currently in the bath...talk to y'all later!
