I have toxic plants in my yard - and the chickens know not to eat them.
Rhodies - I have several. The chickens roost in them and even the chicks know not to eat them.
Buttercups - yep - there are plenty around and avoided.
Foxglove - same same.
I don't know that it'd be plants...it really seems to me they know what is not good for them? Point being - if I were in your position - I wouldn't go ripping them all out
Oh ok thanks for the perspective...I will not be asking DH to rip out all our massive Rhodies when he gets home then
I decided I could be afraid of anything and everything in the yard or I could relax and let them out. They are soooo happy right now! Been out there all afternoon with the flock and I can't figure out what happened still. I think it'll forever be a mystery.

My kids sprayed themselves with the hose and then sat in the filthy dirt/gravel driveway and threw dirt and gravel all over themselves. They were so filthy I made them get naked in the backyard, sprayed them down with the hose and THEN sent them for a bath. Needless to say they weren't too thrilled with me; there was NO way I'd let them in the house in the condition they were though!
So I've gotta get dinner going for 3 kids currently in the bath...talk to y'all later!
RFF- glad you're safe!
