Glad to hear you made it (I assume safely) to where ever and sorry to hear of your loss.
Sorry, guess I was a bit distracted after the news and neglected to actually finish what I was saying. Destination was Birch Bay and yes, we landed safely. ;) Will probably spend the next few days tramping around between Bellingham and Blaine. On Saturday, we will be headed south to Morton to visit with family before buzzing back to the east side of the mountains again on Sunday. Anyone up for a meetup?

CL, is there any way you could get your doctor to phone in prescription to a pharmacy that does mail order or delivers? Or if it can be someplace I can pick up, I can mail to you.
I have handled the issue, as I have steady customers for eggs, I have asked Kathy (menonite sweet lady licenased caregiver) who lives nearby, to stop by the Pharm & collect my meds.
She will do so tomorrow, and then come get her 6 doz eggs.
And maybe another 6-9 pounds of green beans~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm getting tons of beans too. I prefer eating them much smaller. I planted 4 heirloom varieties this year and I did not track what is what. Wish I had. One has wonderful flavor, but thick strings, even when still small! I blanched, chopped and froze enough for 4 family dinners last night. I also made zucchimi bread and caprese salad all with veggies from my garden.
These are the small ones ! And NO STRINGS ATTACHED !!!!!!!!!!!
I should have sent VF home with a few bags full~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I had a similar experience with Mills and our elementary school music department a few years ago. When Alex was in 5th grade, they all did band. I noticed that Alex and the other autistic boy were given the two trumpets from the school that were in disgusting condition. The normal kids all got nice looking instruments.
That is so wrong!!!

That is clearly discrimination, and it's amazing the school didn't get the pants sued off of them. Things like this really tick me off!

BTW... I think the morning's first band practice went well. He takes band at a middle school and then gets bussed to his elementary school. I met him at the bus to pick up his instrument before he went into class (he's not a child I would trust with an instrument unsupervised), and he was all smiles! He was so very, very happy about band. It's going to be hectic having to drive to two schools each morning, but I have a feeling it will be well worth it.
Glad to hear! Hopefully soon he will get to play his own, nice clarinet too.

I had a friend over for a playdate with our kids, and we candled a few eggs to show them (they're both 2 so it wouldn't mean much, but still got to start early!). We saw the embryos moving!

They'll probably be afraid, and never eat eggs again for a long time, thinking they are eating a baby chick....has happened to me & friends over & over.

Maybe not at age 2, but between 5-10 years old they figure every egg has a baby in it & if they eat them, well, they are killing a fluffy baby chick....
