Quote: I know of a number of long arm quilters in the area, but most charge an arm and a leg for their services. I am happy enough with a single all over quilting pattern on my quilts, and it saves me a lot.

I will have to look into the the "Divide and Conquer" method. It would be nicer to have some variety in the quilt.

I also like this one a lot, seems a bit nicer? Don't know if it's the same company but the spiral looks longer.

But that one is still $64.58 total with shipping.
It am fairly sure that the Skelters are made by the same company. Both items state that it is coming from the Devon area of England. The one on E-bay is a second. As I was reading the description it mentions a flaw in the paint. It is just as cheap to buy it direct, and get first quality. I doubt that anyone else is making exactly the same thing. It would clearly get into trade mark infringement areas. It is very cool though, and I would love to have one. :)

I finally got a diagnosis for why I am having much pain and stiffness in my hips. It may explain most of the pain issues besides. I seem to have a form of arthritis called Ankylosing Spondylitis. So far what I have learned is that I am not going to have any fun with it, and I will not get any better over time. Still it is a relief to know that it is real, and not just in my head. I have spent way too many years being told, and thinking that I am somehow making up the pain. At least now I can know that there is a real reason for the pain.
I'm glad you have a diagnosis, and I do hope there are things you can do to help with the pain.

OMG! I just saw all the quilts. I'm drooling and jealous. They are all so awesome.
x2! They are all beautiful, and obviously made with love. I would love to learn how to make them, but the last thing I need in my life is another time and money suck hobby.

I guess what I meant is that there's no good way to store them on the counter top without knowing which eggs are older than others, I like the skelter so I know to eat the oldest ones on the bottom first

I looked at skelters but instead got this last Christmas, also from England. I just always put the eggs in the same way so I know which are oldest. You can do the same in cartons.
