It may be a day early... but I just went into lockdown! Green egg "A" responded to be taken off the turner by rocking. I candled green egg "B" - I still think it may have quit. Time will tell.

I don't have a cover for the water pots. If I add marbles, that lessens the amount of moisture. Any suggestions? Or will they be OK? They are in a Brinsea Mini Advance and a Brinsea Mini Eco. I have 3 eggs in the advanced and 2 in the Eco now.
Water surface is what counts for humidity. So long as the marbles are below the surface that is unchanged. You might have to refill more often, but with the little incubators it's not a big deal. Really.

We're in lockdown - 1 day early. 4 out of 5 of them are rocking on occasion today. I hope I'm not messing this up.

Any suggestions on how to cover the pots to protect the chicks from drowning? I don't have the pot guard piece.

Here's my homemade candler that did a great job of candling the white egg.

After further inspection, the gnawing is taking place in the ductwork (unused: we've been heating with oil-filled radient heaters for over a decade: the first winter our heating bill went down 50%). I've been slowly filling it in with expando foam, anyway, so today I'll get the part under the bedroom floor. If I had a construction budget, or anyone in shape to go under the house, I'd have pulled all the ducts years ago and made insulated plates over the air gaps; as it is, I have to intentionally and consciously go about things the wrong way, because the right way is out of reach.
Stupid reality.
If they are gnawing inside ductwork, what exactly are they gnawing ?
It is all metal...

It may be a blessing though, uncork a floor vent nearby the gnawing & drop a bug bomb in, then cork it back up.
Maybe that'll run them out of the duct work ?
Then again, Led Zepplin should work too !
Stick some music down there for them...........

If ya gotta cat, you could stuff the cat in the duct work !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then you have to crawl under the house & see where they are gtting in...ducts should be sealed.
