Wasn’t expecting this ~

Maybe try a real incubator next time.
Have you candles the eggs rather than dumping them in water?
Welcome to BYC. Update ?
Hi and welcome to BYC and congrats on your birds. I agree that postponing incubating eggs is likely the best way forward.

Here are some links to key resources:

Best wishes

Pork Pie
Thank you :) still haven’t lost hope on these lil guys yet ~

Hi @Raindrop22 welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our happy flock. I thought about hatching the eggs from my pullets. I even bought a small incubator. Then after reading about all the stress it created I "chickened" out and bought some day old chicks at my local farm store. I'll give it a try next year. Good luck with your flock.
Thank you .... ya it’s a lot of stress lol

Welcome to BYC. Update ?

Hi the one that is 24 days old , I water candled . It’s moving , took it out put it on the bed for a sec and it’s moving . Still don’t see signs of hatching other than more scratches on the outside and egg keeps taking on new different shapes . However, the green egg, due to hatch tomorrow actually swam for two min strait in the water . But didn’t move at all when I put it on the bed for a sec . They have stayed warm during these tests and I don’t hear peeping but also don’t have my ear stuck to the box 24/7 either. Ohhh ps both eggs have there air sacs still in tact and stay afloat exactly where they are supposed to above water when candling ~ “wish me luck” I think it would be awesome if all three made it
