I have a young Cockoo Marans/BSL cockerel who broke his wing. He had it amputated and has been in the house since Thursday morning. The first day he whined every time I left the room, and by Saturday I felt he was accustomed enough to get out and stretch his legs a bit. He's been a real joy to watch over the last few days. Today another remarkable event occurred. See for yourself.

Yes indeed... he can now flap his remaining wing without losing his balance. He's currently sleeping with his beak on Gator's foot.. This morning there was a dispute over treats.. Gator got a peck on the nose.. Gator acted like he was snapping back but made no move towards Prince. For pete's sake, seems like every morning, Prince is bigger than the day before.. He's growing like a weed.
