Wasn't sure where to put this but parents said yes to chickens :)

Haha that tiny lot into 3!? Wow wth. Lol

And yeah, I'll prolly close the coop. We've got coyotes, a fox or several, raccoons, skunks, probably possum, hawks might come back, etc. we have some snakes too but nothing major. And aw that's funny lol

My friends Crash The Party's EP just got here AND I have an interview with Subway tomorrow at 10. Today's pretty great.

:woot for the interview, that's fantastic. You must've really gotten to work fast :p Good luck, I hope you're successful!

And yeah, people are always telling us to split our property, because the lots around here are smaller than ours anyway  On the next road down someone built four townhouses on some land about the same size as ours, and they've all been sold.

But it's garden for us, lol.

Well good luck getting your coop ready. Hopefully there'll be no problems with predators.

Thanks!! Yeah, I just filled out the app like Sunday and he already called about coming in. And called the manager at one and called me back 2 hours later (was sposed to be 10-15 mins but I figure he was busy or something came up and hey, im not complaining) and aske if I could come in today or if it was too short notice we could do tomorrow or Monday so I made it for tomorrow and yeah. I'm excited but also nervous. And now I'm kinda like "wellllll, idk if I even wanna get up and go.." But obviously I do because I need a job and it's a great place to work. Plus 10 is not even late at all and I'm just being lazy lol BUT I'm going to go because I'm only being lazy at this moment, I actually do want to work there or anywhere and I'm not going to mess it up. Plus I want chickens.

And oh wow, I could never be that close to someone! Lol even our townhomes here have more space between them. But I've heard we're like the only people that have that much space between houses, in Britain and apparently now Australia, they have like no space. We're spoiled lol

And yeah, I hope there's no predators either!!

Sounds good. And you have a motive to do well too, which is always helpful :p
10 is a good time. I have a volunteer job and I said I'd start at 10 instead of 9 when the shop opened, because who wants to get up early on a Saturday morning

Britain I can definitely see running out of space (considering the population on that weeny little island  We did have a large-ish garden in England though, with several enormous fir trees on the property.) but Australia seems to be doing fine for the time being. The cities are all ballooning out into the desert (I think ours is over 100km north to south now), and if we really needed the space we could be building up and not out. People want to push for redevelopment of the inner city though, because of the challenges in providing infrastructure and services to everyone out on the periphery.

I've lived in cities for all my life so I like the whole close proximity thing :p When we go on holiday to the country I find it almost unnerving how much empty space there is, lol.

Very true :p and yeah it's not too early which is what I meant initially. Lol true.

Hahaha yeah!! An oh yeah, you have all that empty space in the desert. But te animals need it! But they should totally redo the city.

And ohh. I guess that's a factor too, even here cities you're close together. Forgot. Lol but yeah, I personally need my trees. XD although I lovee the city and visiting it and the fact that there's always something to do, I just don't think I could ever live there. Plus the smog and asthma wouldn't go well, even though I only get it when I get sick lol smog is gross but some cities are worse. Also, I want horses and multiple dogs so that wouldn't work. Even if I boarded the horses, I can't have multiple dogs in an apartment. At least not big dogs lol I want some small dogs but also medium or large, even very large, dogs. And I like trees like I said, and I think I will always have chickens once I get them. So yeah. So basically I need a farm :p lol I want gerbils and/or rats too and maybe another rabbit or guinea pigs. An more birds. (My rabbit and parakeets died :( ). I might want goats too and at least 2 cats. Sooo... I don't think all of this would fit in an apartment. :p

Sounds like a complete farm you'd have going. That is a lot of animals! I've only ever had goldfish (in England, so we had to give them away when we moved) and a few chickens here.

Sorry to hear about your rabbit and parakeets. My aunt has a couple of small parrots in her apartment (they were left in a box at the gate and nobody came forward to claim, so she kept them), and they're so adorable. Not so cute when they're screeching at six o'clock in the morning though

And yeah, it can get a bit grey around here sometimes, especially when the trees are bare in the winter. It's not so bad when the houses come with gardens though, and people in the city are getting more creative with balcony plants and the like. We have a veritable orchard in our garden (tiny by bush standards, but there's a lot in there ) - we've got one each of fruit trees: pear, apple, grapefruit, fig and loquat, and the garden is ringed with grapevines against the fences. We have many interesting things to eat every summer :p

Our city has quite a low population and population density compared to a lot of other places, and it's coastal so we get an almost perpetual sea breeze. As a result any air pollution that there is is pretty much imperceptible, and (wind direction permitting - the northerlies always bring overcast) we get clear blue skies every day. But yes, being in the country would mean great air - I was recently in Beijing and although the weather was excellent while I was there, it made a colossal difference just to go a few kilometres out of town towards the mountains. The sky was almost bluer than it is in Australia out there

Yes, It would be quite the farm! Lol we've only had dogs and cats and I think we used to have hamsters once and goldfish and Bettas. I've had a bunch of parakeets too. Aww ya I don't think a fish would survive the trip!! Lol

Thanks! It was a few years ago so I'm good now :) and hahaha I bet! It'd be a great alarm clock though :p

And oh wow, that sounds delicious! I'm jealous. Lol seems like when ya have less space, you're more creative. We have 3 acres and nothing interesting :( we used to have strawberries, tomatoes, and pumpkins though.

And ohhh that's nice!!! Ya, Beijing is the worst! But that's nice you got in the country :)

I think the interview went pretty well and it ended up pretty informal too, which was great since I was nervous, and they still got what they needed to know. They took my number too and said they might call this week, depending on how the other people do (they have a few more interviews this week) so I'll take that as a good sign and hopefully I get it. The Marshfield location is incredibly busy in the summer though because of the beach but that's a good thing. We'll see.
