Wasps attacking the hive.

Bee Smart Robbing Screen

I run these on all my hives. It takes a few days for the bees to orient to the new entrance, but it keeps robber bees from raiding the hive, as well as yellowjackets and wasps from effectively being able to enter and target the hive.

I have crazy amounts of yellow jackets around my bees. Quit having issues after using these.

There are vids on You Tube on methods if controlling robbing...including how to make a stinky meat trap box for yellow jackets. Good Luck! I have a Brooder box out but no bees moved in yet...and i don't want to buy foreign bees.

Thank you! We did feed them and closed the hole a bit. It definitely seemed better after the hole was closed. Every time a wasp came near the hive some heads shot out.
It's so unfair on the bees though.
The gap is a couple of inches wide now.
When they are getting pummeled it’s best to go about 3-5 bee widths and single bee height. The robbing screen negates them even finding the entrance.
