I dont have an Incubator and would love some baby chicks..what are the some ideals to get my hens to sit on eggs to get them to hatch. Would love to hear from anyone..

We're in the same situation. Unfortunately there is no way to make a hen go broody (sit on eggs). Your best bet would probably be to get a Silkie hen, as the breed is prone to go broody often. Otherwise you just have to wait!

I waited a year and then one of mine went broody. She sat on air for about a week refusing to leave the nest. Once I realized she was broody and was going to stay broody I put eggs under her that were on Day 16 in the incubator. She hatched them

It didn't even seem to upset her at all that she didn't really sit the required number of days for eggs to hatch. Now I have another broody on eggs. I think once one goes broody then you will have more follow the first ones lead.
