This is kind of an odd question but will water foul such as ducks or geese kind of watch my property maybe protect my animals for other predators such as foxes?

Please Hatch more than one! They are flock animals and really don't fit in all that well one lone goose in a flock of chickens or even ducks. If You don't want more get both the same gender or for that matter birth control is eask for birds, they need a companion.

Geese and ducks WILL NOT protect your property from foxes and the like.

I dont now why people say they will. I have had chickens taken by foxes and coons right out of the goose pens more that once.

The job of a watchman (goose) is to raise the alarm, call out the police (you). It is the job of the police to protect not the watchman.

My geese are good at raising the alarm, and my gander will go after the dog (and makes moves towards the donkeys

but then thinks better of it) but I doubt they would stand up long in a fight with a real predator.

But they are great at honking whenever something invades their space.
