Watch them hatch Live!! (Hatching Webcam)

Those 2 I had to help to that point they may not hatch at all. There weak for some reason but I'm trying to give them a chance.

My bedding in my brooder is cedar wood chips that are about 3 years old now. So really there is more other junk in there now than wood but its really deep an does not stink.

awwww, I hope they make it

The one on camera 2 died... The one in camera 1 was still alive but would have never hatched on its on. Things were not where they should be an I had to cull it. Just more proof that if they cant hatch on there own there is a reason.

Thats actually pond water I keep in there. I'm a real believer in building the immune system.

I've seen a lot of chicks raised in clean brooders an gave medicated food only to die a few days after being put out in the coop. I would rater them be exposed to everything while they are still in the brooder an on medicated food so they are ready for the coop when they are big enough to go out there. I've just figured out over the years that dirty cold brooders create stronger healthier adults.

Its also sorta like cycling a fish tank too. That brooder has had chicks in it almost nonstop for 2 or 3 years with no cleaning an it has no smell at all.
