Was starting to think this was going to be a worse hatch than it already is but both eggs in camera one have piped.

3 chicks out of 72 eggs is still bad but one would have been ugh.....


I think I need to stay away from the commercial meat breeds...

but you did say that where you got them from the fertility wasnt very good, so maybe just find a better source

Yea, the first 6 dozen were all clears but 2 dozen. An the second 6 dozen were all clears but 5 eggs.

I have a supplier of RIR eggs that I set the first of this weekend an my hens are starting to lay again. Got 3 eggs from them today.

that's insane... i thought i had a bad hatch... that's like... fjask;ljfkasjd;flksajf;kldas... .04%..??? i fail at math...

Im not doing the math but yea, its bad. An these eggs come from a big producer that is paid for eggs that hatch.....I took 60 dozen of the 300+ dozen offered to me. They ate good though.... 40 plus family members agreed....
