I agree. I'll even go one further and say that they shouldn't alow docked tails or cropped ears. Sheesh, one of the best parts of a dog is it's tail! Why chop it off??

what part of the coat do you think is altered?..the way its cut?..they are cut like this for a reason,,and not to look cute,when they actually used poodles for water retreveing the pompoms are left on the joints to help keep them warm,also around the neck and long on the ears..if you didnt cut a poodles coat it would keep growing forever,and that would cause way more problems,I have had poodles come in for cuts that I swear have a whole pine tree stuck in the coats,I have found wire,all kinds of strings,and even once a part of a chocolate bar..

Come on, you can give it a trim with out it looking like some kind of alien! We have a member on here that uses her poodles as hunting dogs. And No, they don't have a foo-foo cut.

I even thought the Old English looked like someone went a little to crazy with the teasing of it's hair.

Did y'all hear/read what caused all the boo-ing last night? During the best in show group, two "well dressed" protesters walked into the arena carrying signs. I won't mention their cause, but it's one we don't talk about here on BYC.
The crowd boo-ed them and then cheered when security guards escorted them out. They were charged with criminal trespass.


On another note, I agree with coyote that a dog can get a haircut if necessary, without ending up looking like a circus clown.
