water and feed dispensers

Been looking at different size water and feeds....I noticed that a lot are hanging, is that so theyou don't get tipped over. Plus I'm only doing 2 hens is there a site that sells small water and feed dispensers.?

It's so they don't get tipped over and since they're hung from a handle, rope or chain, it deters them from roosting on your waterer and pooping all over it.

Not sure on smaller feeders and waterers. The plastic 1 gallon ones would work fairly well, most feed stores will have them. Also, they are social creatures, if you could have at least one more bird, that would be better for them, especially if one of them dies (they do that, unfortunately). A solitary chicken is a sad thing, in many people's books.
