Water and feed questions.

I am getting my two adult chickens today. Have the old coop all cleaned out and everything is ready. Do the water and feeder stay in the coop or do we feed them outside? Or do we leave water inside and outside? At this time I don't have access to my run so I really need to leave the food and water in the coop.

It's a matter of preference. I started out with my waterer in the building but they just made a mess of it and water began to soak into my hardwood floor. So, I moved it outside the building in their yard area (fenced in of course). This winter I will probably have to change it.

As for the food, I have a hanging feeder in the building and throw scratch out in the yards on the ground occassionally.
