1st time. I Drained water belly today. She was acting off, but not too bad. Obviously uncomfortable.
The fluid was kind of a cloudy yellow, not clear. ***Should I give antibiotics, could this mean an infection may be present?***
She had stopped laying awhile ago, so not yolk, and is older, but sassy.
She is acting much better than she has in a few days, eating, talking etc. I took out 120ccs, the hole continued draining for a few hours.

She is older, not laying for over a year. Thought all ascites fluid was clear yellow unless more of an issue than the obvious?
Did you read the link?
Having fluid in the abdomen (symptom Ascites) is an issue.
A couple of common causes of fluid in the abdomen is organ failure/dysfunction and/or reproductive disorders (cancer, internal laying, salpingitis, etc. ) The only way to really know the underlying condition is if you lose them and have necropsy.

Yellow fluid is likely internal laying. Up to you whether you feel she needs an antibiotic or not.
For me, if they act o.k., I don't give meds.
