I recently bought a trio of Golden Cascade ducks that are 8 weeks old. I was wondering how many byc'ers have water available both inside and outside their shed? The only time they go into the shed is when it's bed time and they are let out at 6:30 a.m. every morning - so is it necessary to have a bucket of water inside as well?
Might be a good idea to have at least something both places, especially in the heat. I don't have ducks though.
Ducks can die quickly without water! I keep a waterer in their barn for them, even at night. If you are worried about the mess just set it down in a feed pan so they don't dribble on floor......
I have two geese that share the barn with my chickens. I keep a water bucket inside the barn as well as plenty of water outside. They use both.
Thank you. They will have water inside at bed time, but with a feeder tin under it to catch the dribbles.
