Water for ducks overnight?

Thanks for the tip! That really does sound like the best solution for my problem. When the cooler months get here I won't be so worried about it, but during these summer months it stays pretty warm even at night.

I have something similar outside for them, those ones are pretty nice though.

Here's what my system looks like. That bedding has been in there awhile, I just spot clean and grab poo and the wetness around it, stir everything up, and add a couple handfuls of fresh bedding. No more daily mucking 3ft around the water! Dry right to the edge of the frame of the watering station.

Gets pretty gross in that catch pan though, have to dump it and hose it every day and bleach it once a week with clorox clean-up.

When you cut the wire it makes a really sharp edge, so instead of cutting it to fit the top, I wrapped it and cut the corners to make a clean fit without sharp ends. (like wrapping a present, fold down both sides, snip along the edges, fold down the other sides, everything lays smooth) The rough edges all point down instead of pointing out right where they would step up if I had cut it to fit. The ducks climb on it and sit around it together.

If they have food with them at night they MUST have water too.

We have 10 ducks and 2 geese and use TWO 2 gallon fountains at night. It's usually just about dry by morning, but it gets them through the night just fine.
