Water heater thermostat

Hi,
I found this thermostat in our store but I really don't have any idea how to connect it to the light bulb or to the electricity. Is this thermostat is going to work for the incubator or should I buy another one?

I am trying to build a home made incubator

That is not the right thermostat for an incubator... that one would need to be plugged into a clothes dryer outlet, and that is way too much power for an incubator.

You need a thermostat that works with 120 volt. a digital one would provide better temperature control, as you can set it to, say 99.5, or 100.5.

Go to Lowes and ask them for a replacement hot water heater thermostat. They are about $9.00.
