Water in coop question?

My Duckies have a feeder and a waterer they can reach during the night, but these facilities are strictly separated from their bed. No cookie crumbles on the mattress and no drinks in bed! This keeps the bedding dry and less stinky. My duckies get up at night, walk out of their bed, have a snack and a drink and then walk back to sleep - just like me, plundering the fridge at night...

Chocolates on their pillows before they turn in too? lol

My ducks have food and water in their coop simply because that's when mine do the most eating. They mostly forage during the day, and don't feel like competing with the chickens for the feed. I just clean the coop out every weekend (or every other) and add fresh hay as needed in between. It's messy but I'm used to the mess!

I doubt it's a law. Maybe an ordinance or something in some cities, but definitely not a law.
