Water in coop

Lots of good ideas already but thought I'd chime in since we live in similar climates. I put my water and feeder in the coop with another feeder in the run. Here is my waterer:

You can see the feeder in the back.

Had an issue with the water cups once but just flipped the valve off and let the others run. Still haven't cleaned the one that got stuck on... but the other 4 work so no rush.

Pretty simple to make with some pvc parts and waterer cups. Think I got my cups from beaktime.com.

So far other than the one time haven't had any water on the coop floor or had to clean out the cups.

good luck!

I keep food and water in the coop, mostly cause they eat and drink in the morning and I am just not going out there to let em out til I'm ready. On days where they run out of food they get very noisy and impatient, and hungry. Usually, they are pretty calm until they hear me unlocking the fortress, then they are lining up for the flight out.
I had to get creative to keep the water and food where it wouldn;t get dirty, knocked over, accessible to all sizes, etc, but they may as well get used to some confinement for the weather this winter.
