Water in ear?

My silkie rooster was perfectly fine. Then a down pour of rain came. Could he have gotten water in his ear? He is standing up ok but won't hold his head up. Could I put swimmers ear drops in there to dry it up? He shakes his head like he is trying to get something out.

He could be suffering from wry neck which is a neurological symptom. The neck can be twisted down, upward, or to the side. They may walk backward or in circles. It can be from a head injury, vitamin E or thiamine deficiency, and can occur with some diseases including Mareks and some respiratory diseases. Most people give vitamin E 400 IU daily along with some B vitamins. A bit of cooked egg daily will supply enough selenium to help with vitamin E utilization. He might need some help getting enough to eat and drink. The head shaking could be related to not being able to right himself, itching, mucus in his airway, or some other cause. This morning he is doing better, he is picking his head up more. We gave him vitamin e yesterday afternoon and this morning. He is acting more like himself, he's been "cooing", and wanting to bite me which is great. He does keeping shaking his head and opening his mouth like he is yawning. Could he get wry neck literally within seconds? Because I let my chickens out back like I always do(he walked out just fine)then it rained and rushed them all back in and noticed I was missing him and he was laying on the ground and he couldn't pick his head up.

Silkies are more prone to head injuries due to the vaulted skull, so if he got pecked by another or got his head banged somehow, then that could be a cause. If he's improving with the E, then I would continue that.
The mouth opening/yawning could be him adjusting his crop. I would make sure his crop is emptying properly, check it first thing in the morning before he's had anything to eat or drink, it should be empty then. Crop adjusting is common, particularly after they have eaten a lot.
Check his droppings, make sure they are normal looking.

Look him over for lice or mites around his skin. Look for any swelling around an eye or an ear. Does he have any mucus in his beak. Those things can cause head shaking. Feel of his crop to see if it is emptying overnight.

His crop is empty and his poop looks normal. eyes, ears, and beak are all normal. I don't see any mites or anything
