We've just moved our chickens to their new coop outside and are not sure where we should keep their water. They spend their days in the outside part (with access to the house via a ramp) and their nights locked up inside. We have been keeping the water outside to avoid getting the inside wet but are worried that they may need water overnight. Also, they have yet to figure out that their food is up the ramp and in the house during the day. Any suggestions?

I leave all of mine outside the coop...as long as you let them out first thing in the morning there's no reason for it to be inside...they sleep all night anyways.

I keep water in and out, chickens drink a lot and in the warm weather they have access to both. In the winter, I keep the water inside on top of a deicer, the best invention yet, the water never freezes!

I keep water inside and out. My chickens are up at the crack of dawn and are hungry and thirsty. I, however, am not up at the crack of dawn to let them out.

I have water in and out, I also have food on the inside not out but they have access in and out via the pop door.
