I've seen at TSC that they have a heated chicken waterer but I'm worried it may do something bad plus the good and bad reviews it got. What do u guys do to keep your water from freezing? Remind u on week days I will attend the flick in the morning and then when I get back home around 2:30 so I wont be able to keep replacing water every time. Weekends i can do that lol

Alternate method to keep water from freezing

"I'm worried it may do something bad" - like what? I have a heated waterer plugged in from first sign of frost through spring, haven't had any issue with it. Obviously with anything electric you want to check to make sure all the wires are in good condition and that it's working as intended when you first start it up.

I've used a heated base with a Galvanized fount for two winters.

It's kept water thawed down to -1 Fahrenheit inside coop.
It's important to keep a clean contact between waterer and base. Shavings, and grit will inhibit heat transfer. Base uses 125 watts and turns on when temperature drops to 35F.
Unplug before removing waterer to extend its life. GC
