water issues

My chicks are constantly filling up their water with shavings and then the shavings suck up all the water and there is none for the chicks to drink.I'm worried if I have to be gone for more than a couple hours that they will be without water. What do you all do about chicks water? They are 2 weeks old and just want to scratch in the shavings and no matter where I put the water they fill it with shavings. Is it time for a hanging waterer?

I got some nipple waterers and they work great in the bottom of a hanging 5 gallon bucket, or in the lid of a 2 liter soda bottle. My 3 week old chicks took to it right away.

Thanks! Anyone want to share pics of water and food set ups once you get past the tiny chick stage? I want to plan for my coop and am a newbie and don't know my option. I'll have three chickens in a small backyard.
