Water Not Freezing?

I have quite cold winters up where I live, and it is starting to get cold...and so i was wonder: hwo do I keep my chickens water from freezing in the winter? This is my first flock, so I don't know what to do! Thanks

Go to your local feed store and pick up a heater for your waterer.
 
Almost every feed store near me has them
 
put a incadesent light bulb close to the water and it will keep it warm enought not to freeze. thats what i did when i lived in kansas and i never had any problems.
 
We use cookie tins with a light bulb in them and sit the water container on it. We used the light bulb socket and cord from an old lamp. There are threads on here about them.
