I always put water and food in the chicken coop because I do not let our chickens out at dawn (I am not an early bird!). I don't know how but somehow the water bottle (we have a typical chicken water bottle) leaks or something and soaks the whole floor after just one night. Would it help to hang it up or leave it outside? What do you think, is there a better solution?
Thanks!

What time do you usually let them out? I open the doors between 7 and 8 most days, and they do fine with their food and water outside.
It really depends, during the week around 8am but on the weekend sometimes even between 9-10am...

Maybe you could move your leaky bottle outside, and on the weekends, put a small plastic poultry waterer in the coop so you can sleep in.

Once I make my run a little more secure, I'm going to put in an automatic pop door opener on so I don't have to worry about it!

That's a really good idea! I really hope that we will be able to get an automatic door...
Thank!
