Water system

I currently have a 55 gallon drum I fill with water. It is attached to a hose and a PVC pipe with the nipple system. Is there danger of mold effecting my flock from doing this and if so how do I prevent that from happening in the water tank with out harming my flock?

I would worry more about algae growing, from light shinning through the drum.

It is inside an enclosed coop with two windows in that section. The tank is very heavy duty and dark Grey. I also keep water for them in 2 other areas outside the coop when free ranging. Do I still need to worry about that?

If you ever notice algae growing you can treat it with a few drops of h202.
