My 3 gallon waterer and 16lb feeder is taking up most of the floor space in my little chicken coop. My nesting boxes when needed will sit on the ground as well leaving almost no floor space. I imagine having a water and a feeder trough on the inside of the coop mounted to the wall and larger tanks outside which feed water and feed into the troughs. I could easily cut holes in the plywood walls to accommodate and mount. Is there anything like this out there?

Thanks, Jeff

I LOVE this idea - thanks! Once we get moved - to wherever we're going - I'm definitely going to have to make one of these for inside the coop!

Thanks everyone I think the PVC will work for feed.

For water I am thinking of using a couple soft drink bottle waterers I saw at McMurray Hatchery. I could mount the soft drink bottle outside and maybe put some insulation around it to keep it from getting too hot.

I also have a small coop, here's my version of the PVC feeder. Note I haven't glued the tube with the holes so I can adjust the holes or replace with some other configuration. I'm still searching the best water for my coop yet.

Don't have a pic but I've got a PVC waterer too. Someone on here (can't remember who, sorry) talked about how to do it so, I did. Works great and I use it for my Bobwhite.

I've only got a small one but I'm sure you can make it with larger PVC

3ft 2in PVC. Glue a plug on one end. Add a 90* elbow, 5 inches of 2in PVC and another 90* elbow. That's it. It's easiest to fill it with a hose, I set the elbows on a brick to keep it a bit off the ground and slip it under a wire to hold it in the corner. It works on a vaccuum. This one holds enough water for my bobs for a week.

I forgot to say he drill two inch holes down the pipe for them to drink out of. We have one he just use the skill saw and cut 8 inche pieces out every so often down the length of the pipe. But he like the hole better.
