Watering cups

I would like to know if anyone has used the watering cups for their flock. I live in a very cold winter climate, so I was thinking of getting the heated water container mounted on the outside of the coop (from McMurray) and then piping it to the cups on the inside of the coop. Has anyone tried this, is there a better solution?

I think it would freeze anything after the heater.Do you have 1 coop or many small coops you are trying to deal with? Will
