Watering nipple training

I built a simple bulk waterer that utilizes watering nipples. How in the heck do you train the flock to use these new things? They seem to always look down but just won't look up. Suggestions.

Remove all other water sources, gather the birds around you and the water nipple then continue to flick the nipple with your finger making a little splash until one or more birds notice water is coming out...

Or...10 seconds with a laser pointer...very entertaining..
