Yes it is. I'm lucky to be friends with the local watermelon guy and every day at the end of the day during watermelon season, he drops off all of the watermelon that he doesn't sell. So they get a ton of watermelon every day. And there is nothing wrong with any of the watermelon. He just doesn't sell day old watermelon to his customers. I usually keep a few for myself as well.

Yum, that's very nice of him. I would try to figure out a way to freeze it so my birds have treats during the long cold winter.
