Watermelon

Excellent, the ducks are just baking alive even though they're swimming in a cold pool! And the chickens have a fan on and 4 halfs of watermelon, and man the horses are just dying out there. It's 35 celcius today and we have a humidex warning in effect and apparently it's thundering but there is no rain -_-

My ducks tear it to pieces! They were pretty scared of it at first though! I chopped it up into very tiny pieces until they started getting use to eating it and now I just give them big chunks. Turns their poop pink though.

I gave the ducks some, but they just look at it and then look at me like "what the heck am i supposed to do with that?" ... it was the same issue i had with spinach, peas, everything. they just don't *understand* what to do with the food LOL.

i left it in the duck house for them anyway.

Half of my ducks love watermelon. Two will pick at it. One could care less.

The ducks that love it go NUTS when they see me with a slice.

My ducks and chickens love watermelon. The local market will save me ones that get to old to sell. They are still good but maybe getting soft or they came in a little under ripe. I take these home (usually they are cut in half) and put them in the freezer so they will keep. When I put one in their pen they immediately come over and start workin on it. Slowly at first since it is frozen but as it melts, look out. The melon starts flying!
