This will be the swap thread for the Waterville Swaps for the rest of this yr 2013.

here is the info for the Waterville Swap that will be held on the 2nd Saturday each month ( rain date is Sunday) at the Waterville Tractor Supply. 10 Kennedy Memorial Dr, Waterville, Me.
if you are not sure if we are rained out, call the store, they open at 8:00 and ask if it's raining.

hours are 9:00-2:00 pm come stay as long as you want, leave when you are done, just clean up your area so we will be invited back.
All people are expected to provide food and water for their animals and the state says any chicks under 8 weeks old must be sold in lots of 6. Please sure to have a way to keep any animals cool if you are bringing them to a swap as this time of year can be pretty warm in the parking lot /or warm as the season changes. Shade barriers work great, cardboard, ez up canopies etc. All animals offered for sale/trade whether or not any money changes hands, should be healthy and in good condition. Sick or diseased animals have no place at the swap, and if you have sick animals at home, please stay home to avoid spreading any commutable disease. Many can be carried on your clothing or shoes. The owner/seller is responsible for all sales and to be sure they are following Maine state law. If you have questions, you can send me a private message or call the AG or Food dept for current rules concerning what items you are offering for sale.
The state does send representatives to the swaps and they may or may not identify themselves as a state employee. If you are not proud of what you are selling, you probably should not be bringing it to a swap.
and as always, no Neutering or processing allowed on site.

so with that said: whos coming and what are you bringing or what are you looking for?

Hi. I am coming to this swap and will be looking for some laying hens. 5 months or older. Maybe younger for the right bird. Would love to find a couple that are laying right now too. I'm not picky about the breed, but the temperment is very important. Looking for friendly, easy to handle type birds. Will anybody be brininging something that may fit this?

here is a partial list of what's coming:
6 Standard Bronze Turkey poults
6 Blue Swedish Ducklings
6 Wheaton Ameracaunas
The above were all hatched last week and are straight run, sold in groups of 6 only.

Well started pullets feathered out and free ranging during the day and cooped at night. I'll have the following: White Rocks, Black Stars, NH Reds and maybe a couple Blue or Black Ameracaunas.

Well started silkies, over 8 weeks some I don't dare call the gender on yet, some I can tell.

A 2 year old trio of Standard bronze turkeys, and maybe a couple young pairs of call ducks.

Black, white & paint silkies (sale pending on paint), lavender wyandotte cockerel, call ducks various colors, chocolate orpington bantam pr, buff laced brahma cockerel, Neck coolers and Chicken nipple waterers. (and shade, i expect it will be hot)

parent raised Musovy ducklings- lots of 6.
guinea keets, rabbits

various chicks and incubators if not already pre sold
