my hen's right eye is watery and foamy is this an eye infection will it clear on its own should i be worried what to do

Sometimes it can be an eye injury, but also this is a common early symptom of MG, a respiratory disease. I would watch for a day or so, and you can apply an antibiotic ointment to the eye. Do you hear any breathing noises--rales, wheezes, cough, or sneeze? Nasal drainage and swelling around an eye or the face may be common. Tylan or tylosin, and other antibiotics such as erythromycin and Denagard or tiamulin may be used to treat symptoms if it is MG. MG is contagious to other chickens even after symptoms go away. Here is a good link to read about the common respiratory diseases including MG, , infectious bronchitis, coryza, and ILT. Sometimes it is difficult to tell which one is affecting your chickens. Some are viruses which don't respond to antibiotics, and some are bacterial or mycoplasma which will. Here is the link: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044
