Hello,
Over the past 5 days Two of my hens (aged 2 and 3) both have watery green poo, are not eating (they have very small, almost empty crops). They have both lost 70 grams or so over the past week
The 3 year old went to the vet who said that she had a slight raspy ness in her lungs but , other than that they couldn’t find anything wrong with her externally.
They were wormed two weeks ago and the 3 year old had been on a course of antibiotics but she still hasn’t recovered, during her course the 2 year old became unwell.
They both have their tails up and are walking around fine, and are interested in seeing us. The only thing different about their behaviour is they’re not eating some treats they used to like and they’re not eating their layers feed.
The 2 year old is still laying eggs, although the 3 year old has a contraceptive implant so she can’t lay any.
I’m worried about bird flu since I live in the U.K. but I can’t find anything other than bird flu or coccidiosis but they have been wormed?
Thanks in advance
