Hello everyone

I have been noticing that one of my hens has been doing a clear liquid poop at night while on her perch and I am pretty sure that the same hen is acting a little lethargic. For example when I let my hens out they are all usually at the gate bursting to get out but lately she has been hanging back. I have only noticed the liquid poop at night and it has been going on for about 3 days. And she has only really been lethargic today.

please help

Unfortunately, lethargic behavior and watery poop are just the beginning when trying to nail down what could be going on and how best to provide treatment.

Age of hen.
Laying history.
Daily habits and possibility of encountering toxic substances.
Crop condition. Full crop in the morning indicates a crop disorder. Diet and grit.
Climate and soil conditions. Coccidiosis often occurs in spring.
Worms. Has the chicken been wormed recently?

Ok thankyou

yes the hen was wormed as per instructions on the packet. She is due to be worked again in may. Do you have any idea what could be going on ??? Please help I am really worried

Those points I listed were to elicit information from you. Clues. You need to give us that background so we can hunt for clues. If you go to your doctor and say "I'm sick, fix me", they are going to ask you questions to get clues. They will run tests to get clues. They will touch you and feel your body parts for swelling and inflammation, and ask what you had to eat in the past couple days and what you've been doing. So you need to do that with your hen.

Feel her crop for lumps or squishiness. Look into her throat for lesions and plaque. Feel her abdomen for swelling behind the legs and in front of them. Look in her ears for crusty buildup. Look at her vent for watery discharge.

What you tell us will have clues we can put together and see if there's a pattern. This is brain work and guesswork, not mind reading.

The hen is about 9 months
Started laying 2 months ago and is consistently laying
Our backyard is pretty secure and no other hens have been around no pesticides or anything
Full crop at about 8 in the morning
And working is as what I said before.

I checked her vent, crop and ear lobes for anything. Her vent was clean, ear lobes are fine and her crop was full but she had been foraging for about an hour.

Upon inspection this morning there was no watery poo. Can corn give them watery poo ?? If so she has been eating a lot of corn out of the garden.

Sorry for the lack of Information earlier

Check inside her ears to be thorough. Flick the ear flap toward the beak, and you will see the ear hole. It should be clear and unblocked. If there's crust inside, it will need to be cleaned out.

The full crop, was it ful before she ate? Meaning, it had not emptied overnight? Ids this is the case, she may have a crop disorder.

I have just checked, Her ear hole was clean I can’t be 100% sure that it was empty, but her crop had a substantial amount less feathers than the other 2 hens
Excuse my complete lack of knowledge what is a crop disorder??

Here's a tutorial on crop disorders. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

Here is a diagram of the parts of a chicken. Notice the crop is the first place food goes when a chicken eats. Then it empties out of the crop and heads for the gizzard where the real work of digestion takes place. A crop disorder can affect the crop and also the gizzard. Crop disorders are the most common reason for a chicken to be feeling unwell.

Here's a diagram of the respiratory works of a chicken. Study it. Learning the parts of a chicken will make it easier for you to communicate with other chicken people about your chicken.
