watson ridge ranch???

I recently bought 12 pure ayam cemani fertile eggs from Watson Ridge. 4 of the 12 eggs hatched and it was obvious they are not pure. All of them had some white feathers and two of them have red combs. I emailed dawn and told her they were not pure and asked for a refund. I received a response stating this is normal and they would lose the white feathers. For the record this is not normal, there is a 5% chance a chick will have a white tonail but all 4 with white feathers and two with red combs indicates the flock is not pure as it was advertised. My request for a refund was ignored.

Yes i have buy cemani chicks from this farm, and are not full black, and have to buy serama bebe 24 total and ma send 4 and have to keep money. And other chicks, I would never order from this farm, and I am in dispute with her with paypal me $ 360 us total, have to declare as government fraud. And have a police record on this woman, er farm

Were either of you able to come to a resolution with Watson Ridge Ranch? I too have had to file a claim through PayPal because they accepted the money for my online order, but did not send the chickens. I haven't received any contact from them either - all my emails have been ignored and gone unanswered. If we can document some of these instances with BYC, maybe we can raise awareness for others to avoid this farm. Thanks!

I received Ayam Cemani eggs from them in September. Nine eggs and not a single one hatched. They refused to replace them or refund the money spent. Because “they aren’t familiar with our incubator” even though we’ve hatched babies in there with zero issues before. All of which are healthy and thriving among our flock. They also refused because their “last 2 customers were happy” and let’s not forget “ayam cemani eggs are a great hatch!” Then they had the audacity to lecture me on reading the instructions on MY incubator that we’re well versed in using at this point. But they believed I should praise them because they hand delivered the eggs since they live so close.

Some of the eggs didn’t even develop, they didn’t appear to be fertile to begin with.

We chose them over other breeders because of their reputation in the past. I wish we had dug a little deeper into more recent experiences because this has been a nightmare. They were incredibly patronizing and condescending and refused to work with us.

I'm sorry you had that experience! I eventually had to file a dispute with PayPal, which was easily decided in my favor. My money was refunded without ever receiving a response from Watson Ridge Ranch. I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but after some research and a quick check of their BBB score, I knew I needed to take appropriate action to get my money back. I'm glad it worked out, but disappointed that they are still in business.
