Open Contest Wattle I Do Without You?

Pics
I see all 8- one tricky girl is behind the glass 😊
Not behind the glass. The most difficult one is Kraai with perfect camouflage colours. She is in the plot behind the path, on the right side of the black and white striped Amrock. 👉

This is Chai just after I purchased her. I'm not sure of her breed, but she was probably a RIR blend. Her feathers smoothed down after a few months. She was one of the few chickens I have had or still have that would want a daily cuddle for at least two minutes. Every time I went out in the yard, she would run over for me to pick her up. She was also willing to let me model a hat one of my friend's bought me since I'm always telling them about the chickens.

Big Momma the head hen to the 5 we hatch. She is so special and sweet and loves to be held. Specially if she think treats are involved. She the best of Brahmas chickens!

She has such feathered feet! Has Big Momma ever hatched any of her own?

Bouncy, my EE looks at me with her good eye. Her other eye was blinded by a very mean rooster who is now no longer with us. It took me a week to heal her, so now she waits for me day and night to hold her and give her sweet chicken hugs. If she's lucky, some days I have time to let her take a nap on my lap. Once she was the queen of the flock, but now has been cast as far down as a hen can go. However, when I'm around, she feels like a queen again and knows that no one will hurt her. 🥰
Poor Bouncy, losing her eye and her position! At least she has you to love her :).

Chai looks so cute in her little hat! What breed is she?

Also, could you please edit your post to have one picture per entry? Thank you! :)

Ah hah!!! I thought i was seeing a fluffy tail back there, but it was so vague I wasn't sure if it was a camera blur. Wow she blends in well!

Clyde the Brave

Frizzle (silkie feathered) rooster
He’s my snuggle buddy, he survived a hawk attack at 7 months - fought the hawk! Now he’s chronic for MG (Mycoplasma G.), he spends a lot of time in the heated feed room (esp this winter) due to his non-too winter cold friendly feathers!

I call him my Elecro - dude as his feathers look like he stuck his beak in an electrical outlet 😆♥️

Mama loves you Clyde

This is an old photo of Ini Mini, my oldest and most talkative girl. Hatched in 2014. Not laying eggs anymore but still going strong. She’s a sweetie and an excellent mother of many chicks.
She’s lovely! She looks like my OEGB bantam hen Mrs Little Chicken (aka Mrs LC).

What is her breed?

He is a rebel and has his own fashion

This is Maverick. He is my oldest bantam rooster in my flock and one of the originals I started with. He puts his entire flock before himself. He will be the last one to eat to ensure everyone else is fed( don't worry maverick has his own hidden food zone so I can make sure he eats) and will be the last one to go to bed after we tuck everyone away. Yes, he will walk with me or ride my shoulders as we close up all the coops. It is only when he sees everyone is safe then he will go to sleep. I absolutely love him. He is kind, generous and loving to all.
