Wattle Wednesday

Pics
Finally have some quick photo to share.

1. Rocky the BO
2. Black Bart which we think is our oops Jersey Giant ( he does not like me)
3. Wellsley Welsumer who hates me more the BB.
4. PW CCL who stops short when he crows
5. Feisty (mix) He came from a Silverudd Blue egg we hatched. His color seems almost birchen pattern which is why I do not believe he is a legitimate color for that breed. (Someone has been messing around in the hen house)
Very handsome boys ♥️

I never considered how a polish would look molting!! 🤣 I am not disappointed. Regardless, handsome fellas and Ruth is a cutie!
Last year he was way worse!

This year he’s doing a very slow moult and he is now separated from the young hens who glory in picking at his new pin feathers making them bleed like crazy!

I have 8 chickens in various states nekkedness! And it’s freezing cold ! Brrrr!

Poor guy 😂 Ugh don’t you hate when they’re molting in the cold! I’m afraid mine are waiting too long to do it, too. Only one has started so far. I’m certain the rest will start during a blizzard 🙄

I am anxious for my Azur Blues to moult so they get new tail feathers, I got them a point of lay pullets and their tails were just all beat up. They should have lovely jaunty tails like a leghorn (they are a Legbar x Aracauna hybrid and lay blue eggs).
