Way to tell if laying internally?

Can you tell me did your vet say that chickens with that disease are in any pain with it?

When I took her to the vet back in February, the vet said she didn't look like she was in pain, probably just very uncomfortable and didn't expect her to make it long. Even though he told me it wouldn't help, we still tried antibiotics. We saw great improvement, but she would start to decline about a week being off of it. The vet said she couldn't live on them, eventually whatever it was that the antibiotics was helping would grow resistant to it and then we would be out of luck. So the antiboitics only gave false hope but also bought her some time, but that was about it.

Thank you for the condolences everyone...it's hard to loose a loved one.

My Henny Penny took a turn for the worse today. She seemed to have had a good day yesterday, but today she was huddled in a corner when I came home from an early morning function I had. Her comb was blue and she felt cold and didn't want to move at all. I could tell it was her time so we took her to the vet today.....RIP My Henny Penny!

I am so sorry to hear about your baby. I know how hard it is.
