Hello all, remember I'm a newbie. We recently aquired 2 chickens and one got away within hours. We chased her for hours and managed more than once to get her out of the swamp and into a cat carrier. But for some reason, the food and water in the cat carrier weren't as intriguing as the swamp and just before dark she wandered away. It has been 2 weeks now and suddenly we get a call from our neighbor. She turned up in their barn this morning. So we retrieved her and stupidly put her right in the coop with the others. (yes we got another one in the meantime)
Well as you know, they bullied her and she let loose several thin yellow clearish poops. She otherwise appeared fine. We rescued her from the bullies and put her in a cat carrier with fresh litter, food and water. But because of these poos, I am concerned that she might be ill from her wild days in the swamp. I now know and knew before, but forgot, to introduce her to the coop at night. So that note is not my issue. The poop is the issue. Is she sick?
Thanks for any help.

It could be just what she has been eating lately out in the wild. Just watch her a couple of days and see if she eats and drinks well. I bet she will be fine.

Hey, she's okay!!! Her poo in the cat carrier overnight was normal looking. I had her in a separate run today and she was definately interested in being free, but acted normal, ate a lot of food and drank water. She is in with her sistas tonight and hope to see a big happy family in the morning. Thanks for your support.

Day 3 wayward chicken. Her poop is recovered and she had an over night in the cat carrier after her rescue from the bully sistas. I reintroduced her at night and all seemed well until they left the roost this morning. Now the two others still want to peck at her and chase her. Interesting that the two that I got to start out, were fine until one went galavanting. Now it seems the replacement who is not the same, but still a bantam, is the bully and instigator for the second.
The two originals are Japanese black bantams, the third-replacement chick- is some kind of mix bantam. Why are they doing this?
