The adoption saga continues! Both our new corgi, Mia and Cherokee, our Malinios are getting along pretty well after only a couple of days. Both are active, smart and a bit domineering pooches. Cherokee is trying to compromise with Mia as she really wants another active friend (we lost our 15 year old terrier in July). I have removed the toys as they seemed to be too prized by both dogs. We are being careful as they are both spayed females which tends to be a tougher mix than boy/girl.
Today is better--they even raced around the yard with happy open mouths and some playful barking. Mia tried to harass our chickens and barked at them while racing around their coop/run but our chickens were not impressed and barely batted an eyelid so the newness wore off quickly.
Well day 3 ensues...
