Yes, beer can be a great motivator, but it does need to be opened AFTER the work is done. The boxers I have met have all been nice, but I believe any dog can be poorly or untrained. I have personally had encounters with dachsunds, chihuahuas, akitas and llaso apsos. However, the most well trained dog I have ever seen was also an akita.

If the neighbor complains about your roosters again, somehow fit in the comment that you don;t have 70 roosters...YET.

I don't know, Deb. What kind of person walks up to a brand new neighbor and immediately starts complaining? At least all the other neighbors think she's a loon, so there's no chance they'll side with her on whatever issues she dreams up.

That post about the Boxers was crazy! I'm glad the horses and Ken weren't hurt. Hopefully they'll keep the other one tied up. What a welcome to the neighborhood!

As for boxers, I have had more than 1 run in with a mean one....they are scary when they are ticked too.

Oh I am aware that she is a trouble maker. I also have connections with the City that we are now in, since my place of employment is building a new facility here. I checked all ordinances before we moved, so we know she is way off telling us we can have 34 animals total. we are allowed 130 small fowl, and any combination of 8 other animals. We have all the chickens in the same pen now and know that we don't need 4 roosters. We are going to get rid of two of them - the loudest. And you can hardly call my silkie roo a rooster

Congrats on the new place, sounds great. Sorry bout the dog incident, just last week I had a boxer get in my face and knock my glasses off, I was ticked. Glad everyone made it there safely. Now sit back for a few and enjoy.
