We are confused with what is hurting our chickens

Our chickens are dispearing one at a time. Then, we are finding them one at a time, not dead, but scared, without many of their feathers and some are naked around the neck and cut at the throat. We did see on one chicken a tooth mark. She was not dead, but very traumatized. This is happening during the day, when we are at home, but it happens so fast we have not seen anything. Only if those ladies could talk or only if I could understand what those ladies are saying.

We first thought is was our dog, because she was always finding them hiding far away from the coop, but then it happened when she was inside. What animal does not kill or attempts to kill a chicken, or maybe is not strong enough to hold on to a frantic chicken? Drags them or scares them to run far away?

We are have no clue what is happening. I have been living on a farm all my life and have never seen this. Any ideas?

Just about has to be a dog just playing with them. Any predator would kill them easily. The one that happened when the dog was inside probably occured before and you didn't notice............Pop

Could be a neighbors dog,or a stray.Same thing happened to me a couple years back.Was neighbors dog.
