We are new at this

Hi everyone, we just bought our first baby chicks today. We live in Kentucky and have always talked about trying to raise chickens. We have a small from and live in a 100 year old farm house. Husband retired last May so now we have plenty time to try our hand at this. I am a crafter and love to decorate my home with primitives. We are looking for any advice you all might have to help us with our new adventure. We bought 35, some of them are Rhode Island Red and wouldn't you know I forgot the what the others name was but they are very cute yellow ones. Guess you can tell by now I know very little about chickens. Hope you all can teach me a lot. I NEED HELP
