we finally have a green egg! woo!

I'm amazed at how difficult it is to photograph a mint green egg - the color just washes out and it looks almost white!

Had to take many shots to get the egg to show its real color - whew!

I remember when you got these guys...gorgeous then..gorgeous now...such a beautiful egg and big!

Well Luna and Solaris only got here 3 weeks ago... but today was very exciting indeed!

They have integrated VERY well with the egg-laying girls (the youngsters are in a seperate pen, including Phoenix and Sunshine my two other EE roos) - am very pleased! Can't wait to hatch some pretty babies next month

Those are two of the most breathtakingly stunning birds I've ever seen! Terrific photo!

The color of that egg is the exact color of China Cove at Pt Lobos State Reserve in Monterey, California. Both the secluded ocean cove and this egg seem like something out of a fairy tale!

It's soo lovely!! I always enjoy putting the eggs in the cartons when there is such a fun mix of colors. We joke that we don't have any white egg layers - because white is usually the norm. - and how we ought to get one just to be the odd one out. Silly, I know. Congrats on your beautiful new layers and egg!!!

Way to go! I have 3 EE hens, all laying different colors. I have a pink, a dark green and a lime green. Looks cool in the baskets together. I was just as excited as you when I got my first green one! The pink is regular size, the dark greens are small, but the light greens vary quite a bit. The one we got today was about the same as the one you got. It is pretty cool!
