what a beautiful coop!We just converted our utility shed to a coop, cut out a door and whipped together a run. They don't have any windows. We call it chicken alcatraz! They free range though, so that's okay! Wonderful wonderful cooop! I love the little touches of decking and planters!

Are you going to have a roo? We have one for our 13 girls and had 5 new babies this year! One hen raised 4 and one hen raised 1.

The posts were 8'. We put them about 2' in the ground with concrete, then snaped a line and cut all the posts to the same height, which ended up very close to 6'.

No rooster. I don't think we'll ever have one due to the noise. We are going to do meat chickens though.
