We fought the snow and......

we have it bad over here too.

i have been out a dozen times trying to get the snow off our run. its heavy and cold and i am acky and (sigh). i am just so tired of this snow. we are running out of room to put all of it. the chickens are getting reckless inside. (stuck) cause they hate snow. i bought a bale of hay but, that too is buried somewhere beneath the snow piles.
our poor dogs, havent anywhere but a small trail (leads to the coop) to poop and pea. its awful.
my drive to work was horrible, i slid around a thousand times. worth it.. i guess if i want to keep my job. (sigh again). oooo and on top of all of this, i have my excema (skin rash) cant spell it.... back, and its worse this year. my hands are itchy. probably because of the nerves and snow.

tis i will go on............... because tomorrow is another day. however i have been thinking, its going to be very wet for awhile after the snow melts. (sigh a third time. )

I can sympathize here in northern CT...the last time the piles of snow were taller than me was when I about 6.....sheesh...there's no where left to put it all!

That looks overwhelming! I grew up in New Jersey, and I keep hearing from family how much snow they've shoveled this winter -- I'm glad that my learning curve hasn't included much snow... a few sprinkles here in Oregon, and some frosty weeks. Hope you get it shovelled into manageable piles!

Every now and then I have to be reminded why we moved out west from the east. Usually when we have had rain for 20 days in a row. THANKS! Now I remember. You guys have been out
La Nina-ing La Nina. What a horrible winter for you! Hope you dig yourself out of the piles soon and have a fantastic spring and summer!

Sorry about your run. We got hit pretty hard in litchfield county as well. More snow this winter than I can remember anyway.

Oh that was cold!

Oh no! Snow is cold! LOL

What am I laughing about?

Mine are all still so muddy the birds free range and the dogs are in the house. Wouldn't be so bad is they didn't play in the mud and then come in.

i envy you for the snow although i guess it must be hard work to clean . we never had snow cover over an inch or so so i consider snow as sth rare and beautiful maybe if i lived in a colder country i would like it less

Now don't get me wrong, I actually really like the snow (unless I'm trying to get somewhere in it!). Grew up in Ohio, on the shores of Lake Erie (those are some very cold winter winds), and have lived in CT for a long time. I like the seasons, I like all of the seasons. Usually when I post snow pics they're of the "aren't these pretty" variety, like the two below. And I was just telling someone the other day that the chickens are troopers, taking all this snow in stride - as long as I go out and shovel a little place in the run so they can scratch around. But when I looked out my bedroom window yesterday morning and saw the collapsed run, I really needed to vent.

BYCer's are good for letting others vent - I love BYCer's.

Thanks guys. Now, where did I put that snow shovel.....
