We gave our mallard duck to farm with a pond

We had 4 ducks that were so happy with there little pool, we decided to give them to friends that had several ponds. we thought they would love it. only to find out they won't go in the ponds. they will wade, but not go too far. we did put them in the bath tub so they did know how to swim and the pool was deep enough for them. i feel so bad, but they played in the water dish all winter and it would freeze to the coop floor--making quite a mess all winter.

I hope they adjust to their new farm life.

If they STAY afraid of the big pond, there may be snapping turtles in it.
